
Transportation
Upon reaching Hong Kong International Airport, it is very convenient to travel
to other parts of
Hong Kong via Mass Transit Railway (MTR) 港鐵. Tourist attractions are within walking distances from the MTR station.
Taking taxi is also relatively affordable. Whenever we need to take our
luggage along, we will take taxi.

Day 1
Hong Kong Airport Disneyland Store
In preparation for our visit to Disneyland, we went to the
Disneyland Store within Hong Kong Airport
to buy princess costumes for our little princesses.

Travel to Ngong Ping
The Big Buddha (天壇大佛) is one of the popular tourist attractions in Hong
Kong. The Big Buddha (天壇大佛) is located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island. The
recommended scenic route to Ngong Ping will be via
glass bottom cable car from Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal. Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal is beside Tung Chung MTR station.
As Ngong Ping cable car were under maintenance work at our point of visit, we
took bus 23 to Ngong Ping.

The stores in the Ngong Ping village were closed, together with the cable car service. We took the chance to pose on the empty streets.

Day 2
Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel
There were several Disney Hotels located just outside of Hong Kong Disneyland, each with its own theme. We decided on Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel as it has the traditional castle theme.

Hong Kong Disneyland
After depositing our luggage at Disneyland Hotel and collecting our tickets to Hong Kong Disneyland which were purchased together with the hotel stay, we took the free shuttle bus from our hotel to Disneyland.

Flights of Fantasy Parade is a musical parade featuring favorite Disney Characters.


Similar to Flights of Fantasy Parade, "Disney Paint the Night" Parade happens at night.



End the magical adventure with "Disney In The Stars" amazing fireworks

After the show, we took the free shuttle bus back to our hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast at Enchanted Garden Restaurant
We had breakfast at Enchanted Garden Restaurant. Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters will walk around the tables to greet and take pictures.

Explore Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel
We explored the interior of Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Victorian-like palace.


Next, we explored its surroundings. Goofy showed off his Tai Chi moves and often making children laugh with his funny moves.

Day 4
Travel to Victoria Peak
Victoria Peak is also another popular tourist attractions in Hong Kong. We took MTR to Central Station, walked to Garden Road Peak Tram Lower Terminus and took Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak.
Be prepared to queue for the tram for a while.

Hong Kong Trick Eye Museum
On Victoria Peak, there are many restaurants and shops for you to explore. We decided to spend our time at
Hong Kong Trick Eye Museum and our kids really enjoyed it.

Sky Terrace 428 is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong.


Day 5
Wong Tai Sin Temple 九龍黃大仙
Wong Tai Sin Temple 九龍黃大仙
is one of the popular temples where devotees and tourists come to seek
blessings. We took MTR to Wong Tai Sin Station and walked to the temple.


Garden of Stars
Are you ready to be starstruck at Avenue of Stars (星光大道) and Garden of
Stars? We were ready to until we found the Avenue of Stars were undergoing
some kind of redevelopment. You can reach Avenue of Stars (星光大道) from East
Tsim Sha Tsui Station.


Star Ferry for ICC Light Show and Symphony of Light Harbour Cruise
We took
Star Ferry to take in Hong Kong beautiful skylines, together with the multi-media laser show “A Symphony of Lights.”
We walked from Garden of Stars to Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier to take the
ferry.


Day 6
Ladies Market 女人街
Ladies Market 女人街 is a street market that sells a variety of things, not
just Ladies stuff. Do note that you can bargain the price here. Many of the
stores here sell the same thing. Hence, do not worry if they do not agree to
your price as another store might. However, if they do agree to your proposed
price, they expect you to buy it.
To reach here, take MTR and exit Mong Kok Station.

Temple Street 廟街
Temple Street 廟街 is very similar to Ladies Market 女人街. To reach here,
take MTR and exit Jordan Station

Day 7
Flight back home
We took a taxi back to Hong Kong International Airport and took an afternoon
flight back to Singapore.
We enjoyed Disneyland and its hotel stay, and Hong Kong Trick Eye Museum. Hot summer weather made us tired easily though. Given another chance, we would have
planned this trip in Nov/Dec.
